cuz i got time

Because my room is so hot, thanks to the hotel's heating system, I can't sleep. So I figured, rather than rush through another late entry at the airport... i could hammer one out here!

It seems to be the season of showers. Kelsey has 5 showers and the first one associated with my family is this weekend. There will be cousins and other relatives there that I haven't seen in some time. Some of these people have yet to meet Kelsey! I hope she's ready for an interesting weekend! The other thing I've noticed is that the number of gifts we get for each shower. With our system at home, if we double up with things we have in the house and our new gifts, the old things have to go. No questions about where we can store it, will we need it down the road or who might need one, but rather when we can get rid of it. I think this is a good thing. Seeing as how I tend to keep things that are somewhat sentimental, yet totally useless.. Kelsey helps me "realize" that these things would be better off donated to someone who can really use them. On a side note, is there really anyone who can use things like a Viking figure that has no appeal to anyone with a sense of decoration, or a track number from the state meet in 2000? Who knows. :-)

The wedding details are all getting figured out. Now its more about the stress of getting the little things done and waiting for the big day. The invitations go out on Monday and I know we can't wait to see who's coming and who is not. We also looked at wedding rings together on Wednesday. I have to say I'm in no way a "ring" person. I think I passed all that kind of stuff on to my little brother. He has more jewelry than I would ever wear in my lifetime. But when you finally find a wedding band that really makes you say... "Yep... i could wear this for the rest of my life.. and i look forward to making sure everyone knows i have a special someone... somewhere"... it might just change your opinion of "jewelry."

As for now, i think i'll get a little break from work. This week was crazy as ever with a lot of things due. Now we play the wait and see game, and hopefully we'll get some good news. Until then, i'll just keep plugging away and waiting in anticipation for the big day.

Ho K Peace out!
